Our Tutors

This section is all about our fantastic tutors.

Jane Kennedy

Jane started dancing at the age of 3 in Stirling, Scotland. She studied ballet, tap and modern and continued her training when her family moved to Gloucester, with Imperial Ballet examiner Claire Corbett.

At the age of 18, Jane gained a fully funded place at the Royal Academy of Dance to study on the BA (Hons) Art and Teaching of Ballet. She graduated in 2003 with her RAD registered teachers status and ISTD modern Associate. She then completed her ballet and tap associates, before upgrading them to the new DDE.

Since Graduation, Jane has worked in several schools and full time Academies in the South West and has continued to further her own qualifications. She is now a licentiate of the RAD, has gained her  licentiate tap under the tutorage of syllabus creator, Alison Forester and is a tutor for the Tap DDI & DDE. Jane is now working towards licentiate ballet and fellowship tap.

When she isn't dancing she is a full time mummy to her 2 1/2 year old daughter, Grace.

Jane is very much looking forward to being part of the Harwood Dance family.
